Sherrill Ann Wayland, 55, of Front Royal, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017, in the Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Washington Masonic Cemetery in Washington, Virginia.

Sherrill was born on April 30, 1962, in Warren County, daughter of Betty Joan Whorton Walker of Front Royal and the late Charles Clifford Woodard, Jr.
Sherrill was married to the late Michael A. Wayland.

Surviving with her mother are two daughters Cristy Scroggins of Front Royal and Jessica Rogers of Stephens City; one brother Richard Woodard of Front Royal; two sisters Pam Davis and Tina Blakely both of Bentonville; two granddaughters Alexis Scroggins and Adryenne Shepherd; two grandsons Alan Shepherd and Keyani Rogers; and two great-grandsons Kyelin Caison and Kareem Caison.

Pallbearers will be Richie Woodard, Jr., Justin Davis, Brian Wayland, Ronnie Smoot, Tony Blakely, and Jerry Smoot.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
