Lewis A. Sisk, 81, of New Market, Virginia, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, in Montvue Nursing Home in Luray. Prior to being a resident of Montvue he resided in a hospital in Roanoke for two years.

Mr. Sisk was married to the late Doris Ann Johnson Sisk.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by Samuel L. Campbell. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Luray.

Mr. Sisk was born September 7, 1936, in Luray, son of the late Aubrey H. and Zula May Taylor Sisk. He was a retired carpenter having been employed with Ryders in Warrenton and Howard Shockey & Son in Winchester. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Strasburg and the Giles B. Cook Post 53 of the American Legion. He loved country music.

Surviving are a sister Ila M. Gibson of New Market; two nieces; and three nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday morning an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
