Bernard L. “Bernie” Stokes, 90, of Front Royal passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Greenfield Senior Living of Strasburg.
Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Front Royal United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Maddox Funeral Home Wednesday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Andy, I am so sorry to hear of your father’s passing as Bernie and I are friends for many years. We are in South Carolina until the 20th of February and driving, making it impossible to return for the visitation since just having heard of the passing from a friend of my wife’s on Facebook. I do wish I could be there for you and the family.

I took care of Bernie at Shenandoah senior living. He knew my aunt and uncle! He was completely an amazing man! I enjoyed every minute with him! He was very smart and funny! Definitely be missed!
