Ann Louise Bailey, 93, of Front Royal, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2017, in the Warren Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Sammy Campbell. Interment will follow in the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Bailey was born on March 2, 1924, in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania daughter of the late Arthur and Loretto Craig Nuernberg. She was a member of the Hell Town Hatters in Front Royal. Mrs. Bailey was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are four children Kathy A. Smith of Sarasota, Florida, Craig J. Bailey of Houston, Texas, David D. Bailey of Asheville, North Carolina and Denise “Dee” Compitello of Round Hill, Virginia; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
Mrs. Bailey was married for forty-six years to the late Wellington Drew “W.D.” Bailey.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2 from 6-8 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
