Charles Edwin “Eddie” Orrison, Jr., 76, of Browntown, Virginia, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in his home.
Services will be held Sunday, February 11, at 3:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by Samuel Campbell. Burial will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 2 PM at Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Mr. Orrison was born February 24, 1941 in Washington, D.C., son of Charles E. Orrison, Sr. and Ida Coleman Glass. He was a retired furniture restorer as a civilian with the U. S. Senate and was friends with many Senators through his work. He was a hard working craftsman.
Mr. Orrison was a U. S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Izaak Waton League and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman and was very fond of animals especially cats and bears. He was a Ford car enthusiast and enjoyed NASCAR. Mr. Orrison greatly admired members of the police force. He led a very full life.
Surviving are a daughter Susan Ann Glass of Venice, FL; a half-brother Delbert Jerry Orrison and his children Christopher, Matthew, Deborah, and Melissa; a half-sister Marcia Galloway and her children Shannon Nicole Galloway and Devon Galloway; a half-sister Brenda Louise JOhnson; and two grandchildren Brian Glass and Justin Glass.
Mr. Orrison is also survived by his close friends Manuel Tederick, Shaun Penic, Ellen Seide, and Julena Atwood.
Mr. Orrison was preceded in death by a son Greg Orrison.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
