Linda L. Underwood, 69, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Prince William Hospital in Manassas, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with Sammy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Linda was born on March 5, 1948 in Cameron, West Virginia to the late Durward and Edith Bailey Fox. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie M. Underwood, Sr. and two brothers, Durward Fox, Jr. and Edward Layton Fox.
She was a graduate of Warren County High School and retired from the Front Royal Police Department as a dispatcher.
Survivors include her son, Jimmie M. Underwood, Jr. of Front Royal; two sisters, Phyllis Henry of Front Royal and Margaret Summers of Fairview, West Virginia and two grandsons, Nathaniel and Noah Underwood both of Front Royal.
Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Underwood, Noah Underwood, James Edward Roop, Jay Crawford, Dennis Burke, Troy Henry, David Allen Summers and David Summers, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Virgil Henry and David Summers, Sr.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
