Ethel Welch Feldhauser, age 90, died on March 17th, 2018 at Commonwealth Assisted Living in Front Royal where she has resided since May, 2013.

Ethel Welch was born in Hume, Va to Edward and Belle Welch and attended local schools graduating from Marshall High School. She moved to Front Royal as a young adult and worked for many years at the American Viscose. She had two children, Gayle Bohlman and Albert Vaught who she raised while living in Baltimore, MD with their father, Irving B. Clark. She moved back to Front Royal after his death. Ethel worked as a private duty nurse during her later years and resided on North Royal Avenue. She is survived by two siblings, John Welch and Viola Welch, her two children Gayle and Albert, five grandchildren, Rachel, Clark, Tristan, Ava, and Abigail, a great granddaughter, Kennedy and a great grandson, Hudson Leyko.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with Chaplain Susan O’Kelly officiating. Burial will take place at 2:30 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
