Alice Susan Compton Grigsby, 65, of Front Royal, VA, died on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Lynn Care Center.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, at 2:00 p.m. at the Grigsby Family Cemetery in Castleton, VA. conducted by Rev. Jim Williams and Evangelist David Clanagan.

Mrs. Grigsby was born September 18, 1949, daughter of Albert and Helen Mae Whorton Compton. She was the wife of the late Silas Edward Grigsby, Jr.

Surviving are two sons John Thomas Grigsby, Sr. and wife Jeannie, and Paul Lee Grigsby, Sr. and wife June; daughter-in law Judy Grigsby Fortune; two brothers Jimmy Compton and wife Darlene and William Compton and wife Theresa; one sister Mary Hume and husband Charles; five grandsons John Thomas Grigsby, Jr. and wife Michelle, Michael Edward Grigsby, Jr., James Edward Grigsby, Paul Lee Grigsby, Jr., and Dennis Edward Grigsby; and one great-grandson John Thomas Grigsby, III. She was preceded in death by a son Michael Edward Grigsby, Sr; and a brother Thomas Compton.

Pallbearers will be John Thomas Grigsby, Jr., Michael Edward Grigsby, Jr., James Edward Grigsby, Randy Norman, Steven Stubbs, and Jimmy Grigsby.

Honorary pallbearers will Paul Lee Grigsby, Jr., Dennis Edward Grigsby, and Nathan Lake.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, VA.
