Margaret “Nin” Marie Tharpe, 91, of Front Royal went to be with the Angels on January 22, 2021. She was born March 31, 1929 in Rappahannock County. She is the daughter of the late Mamie Printz-Hamm and Henry Jenkins.
Margaret was a homemaker that loved crocheting, flowers, her animals, but mainly her late husband Robert “Poppa” Tharpe whom she joined in heaven on the of their 75th wedding anniversary.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Ruth Frazier and a sister Frances Cameron.
Surviving Margaret is her daughter Barbara Frazier and husband Charlie; son in law Lynwood Frazier; a special granddaughter whom she raised, and was taken care of by, Robin Hicks and husband James; grandkids Robert Taylor, Vicki Crafton, Ronda Miranda, Ricky Taylor, Jeff Seal, Susan Lockhart, JR Taylor, Bonnie Taylor, and Tracy Vina; 15 great grandchildren, including one special whom she helped raise Arold “Boo” Smith; 20 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Lynwood Frazier, Charlie Frazier, Duane Taylor, Mark Hajduk, Arold Smith and James Hicks.
Services will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday January 28, 2021 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal Virginia with burial at Shenandoah Memorial Park. Services will be officiated by Sammy Campbell. The family invites all for a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Dear Aunt Margaret: I will always remember you when you & my mother got together, you always looked so pretty , dressed to every occasion!! May you be the same as a beautiful new Angel!!! May you & Uncle Rob & your sister all be out angels !!!! You are missed so much and we will always remember you !!!
