Wayne Adam Wood, 51, of Linden, VA, formerly of Prince William County, VA, died on Monday, July 27, 2015 at his home.

A service in celebration of his life will be held on August 15, at 2:00 p.m. at Colchester Freewill Baptist Church, 10405 Schaeffer Lane, Nokesville, VA 20181.

Wayne was born July 25, 1964 in Altoona, PA, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Nancy Lee Wood of Edinburg, VA. He worked as a mechanic for several different golf courses in Prince William County.

Surviving along with his parents are his wife Janet Blevins Wood of Linden; two children Melissa Wood of Linden and Robert Wood of Nokesville, VA; two step-children Justin Parsons and Paulina Parsons, both of Woodbridge, VA; two sisters Louise LaClair of Waynesboro, VA and Theresa Kemp of Leesburg, VA; and one brother Paul Wood of Leesburg, VA. He was preceded in death by a grandson Bentley.
