James Kenneth Hart

James Kenneth Hart, 82, of Front Royal passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015, in his home.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 13, at the Grace Presbyterian Church in Glade Spring, Virginia at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Lay Pastor Bonnie Lester. Inurnment will follow at the Azen Baptist Church Cemetery in Konnarock, Virginia with military honors.

Mr. Hart was born July 13, 1933, in Konnarock, son of the late Ola Blanch Hart. He was married to the late Pauline Marie Oldt Hart.

He was a U. S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War. He was employed by Avtex Fibers in Front Royal for 34 years then retired from Ashworth in Winchester as a welder. He loved to fish and was an avid reader. His greatest joy was being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are one daughter Sandra Kay Williams of Front Royal; a sister Bonnie Lester and her husband Harold of Meadowview; an honorary sister Martha Ratcliffe of Meadowview and her husband Jackie; his grandchildren James Chrisman and his wife Megan, Theresa Chrisman, Amber Sager, Kimberly Williams, Jennifer Williams and Jessica Williams; his special niece Elaine McPeak of Mt. Rainier and her husband Jerry; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Chrisman; a brother Harley Hart; a child he raised Karen Connor, and an honorary sister Margaret Caywood.
