Louise Woodson Fristoe, 80, of Bentonville passed away Monday, August 31, 2015, in Commonwealth Assisted Living in Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 5, at 12:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Eric Croft. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Fristoe was born November 25, 1934, in Crozet, daughter of the late Arthur Doc and Virginia “Mabel” Roston Woodson. She was a retired clerk with Sprint after being employed with several phone companies through 32 years of service. She was an active member of Rileyville Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by her husband Ira G. “Bubby” Fristoe of Bentonville; her children Lindy Arbutine of Clearwater, Florida, Lisa Fitzgerald (Roy) of North Garden, Joe Knight (Frankie) of Asheville, North Carolina, Sam Knight (Jenny) of Concord, North Carolina, Cindy Durham/Howie of Winchester, and Lori Campbell (Dave) of Charlotte, North Carolina; and her grandchildren Austin Arbutine of Clearwater, Florida, Ginger Knight of Concord, North Carolina, Alexandra and Anna Fitzgerald of North Garden, Madeline and Taryn Beamish of Winchester, Cassie Durham/Leon of Front Royal, and William Durham of Winchester.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Arthur “Mikey” Woodson and a granddaughter Heather Haga.

Pallbearers will be Tim Fristoe, Robert Hupman, Gary Kenny, Ronnie Kenny, Steve Cullers, and David Beamish.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Lam, Vicky Lam, Stella Smith, Jewell Croft, Kim Croft, Faye Gochenour, Bonnie Marston, Denny Hoak, Lana Hoak, Cheryl Cullers, and Donna Gray.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A time of food and fellowship will follow the service on Saturday at the Rileyville Church of the Brethren.
