Kathleen Pullen Nicholson, 92, passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on Wednesday, November 9, listening to the words of the 23rd Psalm.
Kathleen was a member of Front Royal Baptist Temple and helped deliver meals-on-wheels to the elderly and infirmed. She worked at Avtex Fibers for over 30 years. She was a founding member of the Front Royal Chapter of Celebrate Recovery, and was a tireless advocate for mental health, and eliminating the stigma often associated with mental illness. She loved Jesus and often prayed on her knees.
Kathleen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Arnold ‘Wendei’ and Debbie Davis; stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Debbie Nicholson; grandchildren, Kendra Nicholson Fox (Brian), Trent Nicholson (Amanda), Andrea ‘Andi’ Davis (Jason) and Malika Davis (Kyle); great-grandchildren, Natalie and Alex Nicholson; sister, Shelby Welch; brother, Cecil Pullen (Dannette); best friend, Albert Payne; and many other caring family and friends.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husbands, Reid Nicholson and Arnold Davis; parents, Ethel and Lloyd Pullen; older brother, Lynwood; and younger sisters, Thelma (Jane), Annabelle, Lucille, Linda and Debbie.
Visitation for family and friends followed by a celebration of her life will be held Saturday, December 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, VA.
Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to the Flint Hill Cemetery behind the Flint Hill United Methodist Church for a brief graveside service and ice cream social provided by C&C Frozen Treats to celebrate her Homecoming in Heaven.
