Richard H. Hirsch, 70, of Front Royal, Virginia, beloved son, brother, and friend, died peacefully on September 13, 2015, after a brief illness.

A native of New Orleans, he graduated from Cor Jesu High School in 1963, served in the US Navy for 6 years, and earned a BA in Economics from the American University in 1978.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking.

He is survived by his mother Alice Borel Hirsch of Front Royal and three sisters Dr. Rosanne Hirsch of Front Royal, Dr. Susanne Hirsch of Front Royal, and Rev. Diane Hirsch of Santa Cruz, California.

Mr. Hirsch was preceded in death by his father Jack Hirsch; a brother Robert Hirsch; and a sister Carol Hirsch-Butler.

A memorial mass to celebrate and honor Rick’s life is being held at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Front Royal.
