Juan Adalid Garcia went home to be with God on December 29, 2022, at the age of 73. He was born on May 23, 1949, to Isaura Daza Ferrufino and Lucio Garcia Ovando, in Cochabamba, Bolivia. He is the 5th oldest of 12 siblings. He was a pastor for 20 years and a Dental Technician for 15 years. On October 13, 1985, he married Gladys Hilda Vilela, who survives.
We will have family visitation from 10am-11am and the service will begin at 11am, following a light luncheon Saturday, January 7, 2023. His funeral will take place at New Hope Church 80 N Lake Avenue, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
Juan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who loved all and put God first in everything he did. He always enjoyed helping others and worked hard for his family. He loved to read the Bible, praying for and with others, spending time with family and friends. Always smiling and he loved to play his guitar, singing worship songs and loved making up catchy songs about his loved ones. He was a member of Del Rey Baptist Church, Alexandria, Virginia and New Hope Church in Front Royal, Virginia.
Juan is survived by his children, Rina Garcia Pereira (Cleandro), Varinia Garcia, Raymi Sanchez (Alvaro) and Jonathan Garcia (Tara), and his 9 grandchildren, Leonardo Garcia, Joshua Pereira, Brooklyn Garcia, Cambria Garcia, Aria Garcia, Cienna Garcia, Victoria Sanchez, Javier Sanchez, Valentina Sanchez and his “sweet” cat K’achita.
The family wishes to express an extreme appreciation to the Blue Ridge Hospice staff, family and friends that visited.
Love the Garcia and Sanchez family

It was a pleasure to know this man for the short time that I did. He was always a friendly face at church, and he always asked about my children.
He was an integral member in the early days of our Thursday, 5:30am prayer group, and the men that shared the circle with him each week are only better for it.
Deepest prayers for peace and comfort for his wife, Glady, and his kids.
God bless the Garcia Family! I am so thankful that I know Adalid and we will all dance and rejoice together once again!!
Juancito, as many of us called him, was a wonderful and sweet man who always told me how God was amazing to him and to his family. He told me stories about his country and his love for soccer when he came to the USA. I worked with him at Carter Dental Studio for a year and a half, and this was enough time to know that I was so blessed to know him. He was a wonderful example of strength and courage for young people, a man who did not give up through his last moment. I didn’t have to know Juancito for many years to know his great love for God, his work, and his family made him so special. I thank God for letting me be Juancito’s lab partner. I learned a lot from him; he will live in my heart forever.
My prayers to Mrs. Garcia and her family.
Sincerely,
Jenny Simancas
