Maria Ofelia Georgiou, 52, of Strasburg, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Blue Ridge Care Inpatient Center in Winchester, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home. 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with Sammy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Bennett’s Chapel Cemetery.
Maria was born on April 20, 1974 in El Salvador to the late Manuel and Ofelia Mendez Leiva. She worked as a medical assistant for many years and truly loved working with patients in the office and in home health care. She was very compassionate and caring towards all of her patients.
Survivors include her two daughters, Alexandra Georgiou and Valentina Georgiou; sister, Rosa Leiva; best friend, Ana Moreno and numerous extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
