I had the privilege of being Agnes’ Pastor at Riverton 2008-2014 as well as being in the family. We enjoyed many visits talking about faith, family, and Front Royal. As a youth, I remember her as a faithful member of the choir and as a lady impeccably dressed and always friendly. I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone and she was always interested in the Lord’s work. Our Dad was a recipient of Agnes’ cards until his passing. What a blessing to know her.

I just wanted to tell Mrs. Rutherford’s family that our thoughts and prayers are with you all. She was my father’s,Eldon Campbell, secretary for many years. She was so very thoughtful and sweet. I still have 1 of the items she hand made for me when I was a child. So very sorry for your loss.

She was a dear friend of my Mother for many years. My Mom cherished her friendship and her kindness throughout the years. I corresponded with her after my Mom passed away, with the hope of meeting Agnes one day. I’m sad I never got to meet her in person. A beautiful, thoughtful person to be sure. Deepest condolences to the family.

I just learned of Mrs. Rutherford’s passing today and was heartbroken to hear the news.

I’ve known her for almost 40 years and have never met a person so kind and gentle. Once day while eating at the Rutherford’s house, she made a dish so good that I asked her to call my mother and tell her how to make it. 🙂

I am blessed that we kept in touch throughout the years and was happy to see her so proud of her grandchildren.

My condolences to the Rutherford family for your the loss of your such a lovely lady and I hope that you remember the happier times with her and Charles.
