Audrie Lee Futrell Whitt

Audrie Lee Futrell Whitt, 84, of Front Royal, Virginia and formerly of Norfolk, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 11 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 7145 Browntown Road, Front Royal with Bishop Randy Allen officiating.  Burial will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, Virginia.

Ms. Whitt was born on February 9, 1941 in Trigg County, Kentucky to the late Conrad and Nola Ramsay Futrell.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Dee Terrence “Terry” Whitt; granddaughter, Faye Reynolds; three brothers, David Dean Futrell, Dennis Wayne Futrell and Derryl Lynn Futrell and her twin sister, Arlene Lois Futrell.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving as a missionary in San Jose, California from 1994 until 1996, and a veteran of the United States Navy.  She enjoyed planting flowers, art projects, sewing, crocheting and quilting.  She was an avid reader.  She was known for making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for all her children, their friends and generations of church children.

Survivors include her four daughters, Toni Lynn Whitt Jefferies (Grant), Tracy Ray Whitt Reynolds (Tony), Tammy Denise Whitt and Torena A. Whitt Bar (Steve); two brothers, Conrad Ray Futrell and Michael Bruce Futrell; sister, Shirley Jean Futrell Brown; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 6 to 8 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal.
