My memories of Mom early go back long ago. The one thing that stands out the most to me is how she consistently took us to church as kids. During that period of time I remember receiving Christ into my life and that was the beginning of my walk with Jesus. I’m thankful that her and dad early open their hearts and their home and took in foster children. That made a difference in my life. She will definitely be missed. Love to all the family.
Sending love and prayers to you all. She was a feisty little firecracker of a lady with a heart of gold.

I am sorry to hear about Avis. She and my Mom, (Arlene Keifer) were such good friends. I am sure that they are happy to see each other again.
Avis lived a life that is an example to us all. A dedicated Christian, devoted mom, grandmother to multiple generations and foster mom to many. She always had a smile for everyone she saw. Certainly there are many stars in her heavenly crown for the work she did here for Christ. We were all blessed to have known her. Our prayers go up for the entire family. We love you all.
Avis was my teaching assistant for 3 years. They were wonderful years full of laughter and love. She always had a ready comment to pick me up, encouraging students and teachers with her loving presence, and hard work ethic. She was a consistent professional who got along with everyone. She often told stories of her family, trips to Maine, and of her full life. Know she will be missed by many.
