RIP Brenda Castro
I just found out about Brenda, and I was so devastated to hear about her passing. She was a lovely person, and although I saw her infrequently during extended family gatherings, she was always one of my favorite people. She was genuine and fun loving and devoted to her family. A light has gone out in the world, but I know she is with her Saviour in heaven. Mom and I have been praying for Brenda since we heard of her illness, and we will continue to pray for Carlito and her sweet children and grandchildren. You have my deepest sympathy, and I wish you feelings of comfort, moments of peace, and memories of joy during this difficult time.
As Jennifer Elaine wrote, we found out today that Brenda has gone home to be with the Lord. And although we grieve because Brenda is no longer amongst us, we should also remember that the Bible assures us that believers in Christ, once apart from the body, are immediately in the presence of the Lord Jesus. So dear family, while our hearts are broken, we should also rejoice in the knowledge that Brenda is with her Saviour in perfect peace. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, Paul said,
“ But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve like other people who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so through Jesus God will bring those who have died with him.”
In other words, as believers in Christ, we have a firm hope of life beyond the grave.
I will always remember Brenda as a kind and lovely woman with a warm and spontaneous smile. I admired Brenda from the first time we met. Jennifer and I will continue to pray for our cousin, Carlos, their sons and daughters, the grandchildren, and for Brenda’s mom and siblings. You have our deepest sympathy.
