Carol L. Goddard

Carol L. Goddard, 78, of Warren County, Virginia, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Inova Fairfax Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27 at 12:00 p.m. at the Rockland Community Prayer Garden with Bishop Vince McLaughlin and Pastor Bill Orndoff officiating. Interment will follow in the Rockland Community Cemetery.

In case of inclement weather, the service will be held at the Rockland Community Church.

Carol was born February 18, 1948 in Wilmington, Delaware, daughter of the late Richard Leroy and Agnes June Goad Williamson.

She owned and operated her own insurance company for many years.

Surviving is her devoted husband of 56 years, Charlie Goddard; one daughter, Beth Kitchen of Front Royal; one son, Rich Goddard of Front Royal; one brother, Dale Williamson of Wilmington, Delaware; two granddaughters, Kayla Gonzalez and Katie Gibson; two great-grandchildren, Eloise Gibson and Madline Gibson; and a very special and dear friend, Karen McIntyre.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Megeath, Billy Naughton, George McIntyre, Ernie Grove, John Grubb and Dolen Crawford.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Clatterback and the men of Rockland Community Church.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 27 at the Prayer Garden from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

There will be a time of food and fellowship at the Rockland Parish Hall following the service.

    Charlie – Since I have not run into you at Wal-Mart lately, I was not aware that Carol had passed away last month until the sad news finally found its way to us down here in North Carolina.
