Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Michael, 57, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Warren Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 1:30 PM at Boggs Chapel, Randolph Macon Academy in Front Royal with Chaplain Monica Reynolds officiating.  There will be a gathering to follow.

Cindy was born on January 9, 1968 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Charles and Sarah Kaufman Michael.  She has been an educator with Randolph Macon Academy for 32 years.  She was the Chairwoman of the STEM Division for the school and also formerly coached field hockey, swimming and cheerleading.  She was a graduate of the Miami University of Ohio and received her Masters Degree from the University of Dayton.

Survivors include her sister, Kristin Michael Shafer (Eric); nephew, Dr. Maxwell Shafer and niece, Marah Shafer all of Dayton, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Cynthia A. Michael Memorial Scholarship at Randolph Macon Academy, 200 Academy Drive, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
