David Michael Smith, 65, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026 in the comfort of his home.

David’s remains will be privately laid to rest in his favorite place at a later date.

David was born in Cooperstown, New York on October 1, 1960 to the late Richard Carter and Marguerite Ann Omerzu Smith. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jean Mclean.

Surviving David is his loving wife of 25 years, Vicki Wise-Smith; his son, Justin Randall Smith (Jessica) of Oneida, New York; his numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

David was a veteran of the United States Navy and obtained a rank of Petty Officer. He served during the Grenada Invasion. David was a member of the Church at Skyline in Front Royal, he loved to play and watch sports, and he thoroughly enjoyed his time hunting.
