DIANA SIVASKI ALBERT

Born November 29, 1921, in Mokrin, Serbia, daughter of the late Milos and Tekica Sivasky, she came to the United States at the age of 14 years, and lived with her family in Cincinnati, OH, until such time as she enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II. While stationed in Washington, DC, she attended a dance held at the training base on Solomons Island, MD, where she met John Albert, who was preparing to go overseas.

She and John married in 1945, and lived and raised their four children in Kensington, MD. They loved the beach and hated cold, snowy winters, so they moved to Flagler Beach, FI, where they resided for fifteen years, before relocating to Front Royal, VA.

She was predeceased by her husband John, after 67 years of marriage.

Surviving are four children: Linda Poe and husband Robert of Front Royal, VA, John M. Albert and wife Celia of Augusta, GA, Robin Eckerfield of Fortuna, CA, and Grace Albert and husband Jack Weiss of Buellton, CA.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Shannon Poe, Robert W. Poe, Candace Poe, John M. Albert, Jr., Marianne Albert, Skylar Eckerfield, and Dillon Eckerfield; ten great-granchildren: Erika, Carson, Jonathan, Brianna, Eralyn, Julia, Natalie, Kaitlynn, Jenna, and Charles.

Final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery.
