Edward Joseph Haug, 62, of Strasburg, Virginia passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1. 2017 at 7 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia.

Mr. Haug was born on July 15, 1955 in Alexandria, Virginia to the late Robert Haug and Joan Norton Haug. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kristen Haug on September 9, 2001 and his sister, Kathleen Shaffer on August 8, 2015.

He was a 1974 graduate of West Springfield High School and attended Northern Virginia Community College. He worked in printing for both Coral Graphics in Winchester and International Automotive Components in Strasburg. He also worked for Wal-Mart in Woodstock and Front Royal. He was a member of Church at Skyline in Front Royal.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Smith Haug of Strasburg; Daughter, Brittany Leigh Haug currently serving in Iraq; step daughter, Rachel Cammer of Martinsburg, West Virginia; step son, Brenden Cammer of Inwood, West Virginia; sister, Mary Haug Becker (Joe) of Front Royal; step grandchildren, Brenden Cammer and Nadia Wood and nephews, Paul and Jason Becker.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
