Hortense Baumgardner Ralls, 81, of Front Royal, VA passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Front Royal United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Alan Combs. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Ralls was born July 10, 1935 in Front Royal, VA daughter of the late Vernon Benjamin Baumgardner and Louise Stickley Baumgardner. She was a lifelong member of Front Royal United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Fellowship Sunday school class and Naomi’s Circle. Mrs. Ralls retired as a waitress from Front Royal K-Mart after 24 ½ years of dedicated service. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Allen Ralls.

Surviving are one daughter Kirsten Ralls of Front Royal ; one son Kerwin Ralls and wife Tammy of Winchester, VA; one brother Janna Baumgardner and wife Marie of Mechanicsville, VA; four grandchildren Eric Ralls, Ashley Weekley, Elijah Ralls, and Isaiah Ralls; and one great-granddaughter Luna Ralls. She was preceded in death by a sister Norene Mathews.

Pallbearers will be Jim Brown, Kevin Mathews, Eric Ralls, Sean Thompson, Marc Henry and Robert Cairns.

Honorary pallbearers will be Elijah Ralls and Isaiah Ralls.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.
