Jamie Christopher Tewalt, 54, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at his home after a long courageous battle with cancer.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.
Jamie was born September 29, 1971 in Winchester, Virginia, son of the late Blaine Wilson and Thelma Mae Figgins Tewalt.
He owned and operated his own business, J & J Home Improvements, for many years. Jamie loved spending time in the outdoors, including fishing and being quite a marksman at hunting. He also had a great love for all types of animals.
Jamie will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Surviving is his devoted and loving wife of 35 years, Cindy Tewalt; two sons, Joshua Tewalt and wife Latasha and Christopher Tewalt, all of Front Royal; sister, Gail Tennett and husband Mike of Strasburg; brother, Terry Tewalt and wife Julia of Front Royal; his two grandchildren that he loved so much, Aedan Tewalt and Raelyn Tewalt; two brothers-in-law, Mark Graves and Michael Rippeon; and sister-in-law, Crystal Vincent.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Michelle Stephens.
Pallbearers will be Chris Daigle, Roy Kidwell, Tommy Lawson, Michael Rippeon, JJ Rippeon and Mark Tewalt.
Honorary pallbearer will be Dewayne Keller.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 23 from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Warren County, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal, Virginia 22630 or to an animal shelter of your choice.
