John Henry “Bee” Sanford, 83, of Middletown, Virginia, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019, in the Blue Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Winchester.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26, at 10:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by Samuel L. Campbell. Inurnment will be at Mount Pleasant South Cemetery, Volney, New York at a later date.

Mr. Sanford was born July 25, 1935, in Scriba, New York, son of Floyd and Ida Mae Jones Sanford. He was a U. S. Army veteran. He was a retired landscaper for Fairfax County.

Bee is survived by Rhoda Thibault, Marie Strakowski, Bo (Diana) Mentzer, Brad (Louise) Mentzer, Jessica (Vic) Green, Josh Hocter, many nieces, and one nephew.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Don Sanford and Fay Sanford and a sister Sherlee Mentzer.
