Johnney Mack Brown, 78, of Stephens City, VA, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, May 13, 2016 at his home.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 8:00 p.m. conducted by Sammy Campbell.

Mr. Brown was born March 18, 1938 in Cortland, NY son of the late Earl Joseph Brown, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Alger Brown. He retired as an independent roofing contractor Mr. Brown was a member of the Front Royal Moose Lodge and the VFW. He was preceded in death by his first wife Phyllis Brown.

Surviving are his second wife Sandra Brown of Stephens City; five children Diana Odgers and husband Bob of Front Royal, Dennis Brown and wife Chris of Middletown, Jeff Brown of Manassas, Todd Brown and wife Karen of Stephens City, and Regina Chapman and husband Jim “Hillbilly” of Stephens City; two sisters Geraldine Whittington of Front Royal and Eva Crocker of Maine; one brother Carl Brown of Maine; 16 grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren (and one on the way); and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and first wife, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a son John William Brown; one sister Beverly Brown; and three brothers James Brown, Earl Joseph Brown, Jr., and Robert Brown.
