Karen Kephart Hudson, 65, of Browntown, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, in the Winchester Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Karen was born on July 26, 1951, in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Lawrence Lee Kephart, Jr. and Bonnie Kephart Fox. Karen was a graduate of Warren County High School Class of 1970. She was still employed with the Warren County School system where she drove a bus for 22 years and worked with the special needs children through the school system for 16 years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #1194. Karen was a friend to all and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years Dennis O. “Denny” Hudson; one daughter Sarah Hudson of Front Royal; one son Brian Hudson and fiancé Mary Jo of Front Royal; two grandchildren Kayla Hudson and McKalyn Hudson; one brother and one sister.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 28, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
