Kenneth Lewis Smith, 86, of Strasburg, Virginia passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Blue Ridge Care Inpatient Center.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 2 PM at Panorama Memorial Gardens, 4917 Strasburg Road, with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Mr. Smith was born on September 27, 1939 at the homestead in Strasburg to the late Lovell and Lonnie Ritenour Smith.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Ann Smith; daughter, Pamela J. Kerns; son, Timothy M. Kerns; four brothers, Donald Smith, Fred Smith, Jack Smith and Bobbie Smith; three sisters, Marie Hamilton, Hazel Andrews and Polly Smith and a grandson, Michael Kerns.

Survivors include his three sons, Jerry L. Smith, James W. kerns and Kenneth M. Kerns; five grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
