Lennis Frances Atkins Cornwell, 77, of Linden, VA, died on Monday, October 26, 2015 in Winchester, VA.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery conducted by Sammy Campbell.

Lennis was born January 15, 1938 in Fauquier County, VA, daughter of the late Leonard Grover Atkins and Rosa Lee Harrington Higgins.

She is survived by her two daughters Bonnie Coleman of Front Royal and Tina Cornwell of Linden; one sister Betty A. Haley of Front Royal; one very special grandson Josh Arnold of Alexandria, VA; a special son in law Bill Coleman of Front Royal; and many other close friends and family members who cared for her. Along with her parents, Lennis was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph “Joe” Cornwell; and a sister Barbara Leighty.
