Leona Carol Vandall, 69, of Front Royal, Virginia went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at her home.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 2 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with Pastor Happy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Vandall was born on August 5, 1949 in Big Q, West Virginia to the late Donald and Violet Goins Harrah. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Imogene Harrah, June Harrah and Eileen Harrah and two brothers, Melvin Harrah and Ernie Harrah.
She was formerly a Quality Assurance Officer for the Lear Corporation and she was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship in Front Royal.
Mrs. Vandall was a beautiful, compassionate, and caring woman who loved the Lord. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, or anyone that she felt needed a smile. Her happiest moments were when she was surrounded by people. She loved celebrating life and celebrating others.
She will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends she touched throughout her life.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Larry Vandall of Front Royal; daughter, Anita Carol Grandstaff (Troy) of Strasburg, Virginia; son, Larry Vandall, Jr. (Jessica) of Strasburg; three brothers, Nelson Harrah, Dale Harrah and Dallas Harrah; six grandchildren, Derek Grandstaff (Cayla) of Strasburg, Adam Grandstaff, Natalie Vandall, Luke Vandall, Jake Vandall and Zachary Vandall; two great granddaughters, Savannah Grandstaff and Penelope Grandstaff and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Derek Grandstaff, Adam Grandstaff, David Critchley, James Smith, Robert Moss, and James Cox.
She was a wonderful person and thought a lot of Leona. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
