Louise Elizabeth Mills, 88, of Front Royal, Virginia went home to meet our Lord on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Blue Ridge Care Inpatient Center in Winchester, Virginia surrounded by her children.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11 AM at LifePoint Church, 1111 North Shenandoah Avenue, Front Royal with Pastor John Kenney officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Mills was born on November 5, 1937 in Hume, Virginia to the late Robert Ridley Elkins and Bertha E. Strother Elkins. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Samuel Lindburg Mills and three brothers, Robert R. Elkins Jr., Larry S. Elkins and William “Billy” Elkins.
She loved our Lord Jesus. She attended LifePoint Church, which she dearly loved and worshipped with Pastor John Kenney and her church family. Her greatest joys were planting flowers and spending time with her immediate family. She recently retired from Walmart in Front Royal after working there for 15 years where everyone called her “Mom Louise”.
Survivors include her son, Danny L. Mills of Front Royal; daughter, Joyce Ann Myers and husband Robbie of Front Royal; two sisters-in-law, Della Mae Day of Front Royal and Shelby Elkins of Waynesboro, Virginia; grandson with whom she was the closest, R.J. Myers; three granddaughters, Christina Costello, Ericka Mills and Morgan Mills; three great grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Pullen, Hank Helsley, John Grigsby, Kyle White, Anthony Lockhart, Bruce Barnett, Robert Hunger, Dwayne Williams and Frankie Knight.
Great appreciation should be passed to Dr. Guna Subedi as he was loved and admired by Louise.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
