Mary Eleanor Williams Shiflett, 92, of Front Royal, VA passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 11, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by Pastor Butch Hammond. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday, from 10:00 to 11:00 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Shiflett was born March 24, 1923 in Mountville, VA, daughter of Roy E. Williams and Mary Emily Fincham Williams. She retired from Jackson Furniture Company as an inspector and also worked for Ann’s Cake Box. She was a member of First Assembly of God. Mrs. Shiflett was the wife of the late Rex Alfred Shiflett.

Surviving are two daughters Faye Holtzclaw and husband Dave of Martinsburg, WV and Beverly Sims and husband Doug of Front Royal; three sons Dale Shiflett and wife Judy, David Shiflett and wife Peggy and Norman Shiflett and wife Julie all of Front Royal; two sisters Ruby Nicholson of Manassas, VA and Mazie Ritenour and husband Robert of Harrisonburg, VA; nine grandchildren Angie Shiflett, James Shiflett, Aaron J. Moore, Ryan J. Moore, Christy Trevethan, Westy Pangle, Caitlin Shiflett, Ashley Shiflett and Matthew Shiflett; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers Randolph Williams and Roy O. Williams; five sisters Mable Hines, Irma Pomeroy, Gladys Ashton, Blanche Downs, and Anna Marders; and one grandson Jason Shiflett.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Riverton United Methodist Church Benevolence Fund, 55 East Strasburg Rd, Front Royal, VA 22630.
