Matthew James Litten, 45, of Linden, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Winchester Medical Center.
Services will be private.
Matthew was born July 25, 1974 in Herkimer, New York son of Barbara Jean Litten of Thornburg, Virginia and the late Robert Francis Litten.
Surviving is his mother Barbara, as well as his loving wife Joanne Litten of Linden, Virginia; brother Scott Litten (Renee) of Stafford, Virginia; and Sister Kristen Hayes (Wayne) of Ruther Glen, Virginia.
Matthew was a life member of the National Rifle Association, as well as a member of the Southern Fauquier Hunt Club. Matthew’s dream was to retire early to spend his years with Joanne, his adoring wife as well as his best friend. He had purchased their dream home on the mountain. Matthew took care of Joanne when she got sick in her late 30’s he was committed to being there for her through her hardest times. Matthew proved what it is to be a loving husband and very best friend to his wife through the years.

We only knew Matt a short while but our friendship was growing fast we loved the times we hung out together with Matt and Joanne and the first time i got to hear Matt’s terrible British accent WOW it was bad but he thought he was spot on with it we will sure miss you Matt all i can say is Pip Pip.
