Myrtle Virginia Ornduff Gentry, 95, of Front Royal, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017, in the Lynn Care Center in Front Royal.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday March 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the Culpeper National Cemetery with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Mrs. Gentry was born on December 11, 1921, in Abingdon, Virginia, daughter of the late Stuart Hutton Ornduff and Hazel Elizabeth Sexton Ornduff. Mrs. Gentry lost her mother and was raised from the age of 11 by her father and step-mother Lillian Ornduff, whom she dearly loved.

Surviving are two sons Douglas Wayne Gentry of Chillhowie and Jerry Michael Gentry of Front Royal; three daughters Judy Lynn Jordan of Warrenton, Deborah Elizabeth Warren of Perryville, Arkansas, and Connie Sue Gentry of Strasburg; three brothers Irvin Ornduff, Malcolm Ornduff, and Larry Ornduff all of Abingdon; two sisters Joyce Ornduff and Karen Ornduff both of Abingdon; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Gentry’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
