I’m so sorry to hear about Nell’s passing. I have many happy memories of Nell being kind to me and tolerating a know-it-all who knew nothing and loving me all the same. All of us down in Newport News will miss her.

    Barry and Cohen,
Lewis and I were so sorry to hear of Nellie’s passing. What a wonderful friend. I often think of the evening we spent together years ago singing Karaoke and having lots of laughs. I can’t help but smile remembering the time our son came home from spending time at your Middletown home with a pocket full of deer bones. Nellie brought such joy to everyone so fortunate to be in her presence especially the students she taught at RCA. Nellie’s memory is truly a blessing to our family.

Barry and Cohen, I am saddened to learn about Nellie’s passing. Growing up, Nell and I spent a lot of time together as she lived right around the corner from me. She was almost like family during that period of my life. There was never a dull moment when Nell was around … always a fun time! The last time I saw her and her mother was at my daughter’s wedding in 1996 – too long ago. I’ve always regretted that I missed getting together with her when she was in town a year or so later. So many memories of my dear friend. I pray that all of your wonderful memories will bring you smiles and peace.

To Cohen and Barry: Nellie told me she was sick and I refrained from calling her so as not to disturb her. I mailed her a box of the best chocolates ever. I just found out tonight that she has passed away. I am so sad tonight for I will miss seeing her and hearing her voice. She was a true friend and I am so sorry for your loss, and the knowledge that I will never get to see her again on this earth. God Bless…
