Please accept my belated condolences on the passing of your son, Wayne. I was fortunate to have him in my English class at Tehran American School and enjoyed his personality in class – he added a great deal to our discussions of _The Scarlet Letter_ and I could always depend on his bringing joy to the class. We all loved Wayne. He was also an important member of the Junior Class Carnival, the annual fundraiser for the Junior Prom. Thanks in large part to Wayne’s efforts, we raised the most money in the history of the Junior Class Carnival.
Over the past 40 years, I have looked for him on the Internet, but never located him. I am sorry, because I would have liked to have told him that he was one of my most memorable students in the 36 years I taught. I also was worried about his daredevil motorbike riding and wanted to ask him to “take it easy”. You reared a fine son and the world is poorer for his passing. Regards, “Mrs. A”
