Phillip Todd “Phil” Fancher, 65, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at his home.
Services will be private.
Phil was born on August 3, 1959 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Charles and Gloria Cartwright Fancher. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the C.I.A.
Survivors include his former wife, Debby Townsend; son, Benjamin Fancher; two daughters, Meg Fancher and Mary Fancher and three brothers, Chuck Fancher, Kevin Fancher and Scott Fancher.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
So sorry 😞 to hear the passing of Phil. He was a great guy and former SPS officer that I worked with. God bless his soul.
I’m so sorry to hear of Phil’s unexpected passing. I’ll I always remember the brief times I was fortunate to work with him, along with his sardonic humor and passion for what he was doing. I’ll miss his entertaining postings, and regret the fact that I haven’t seen him in over two decades. God bless him with his transition to the next life.
Rest in peace Phil. You were a great FTO and I looked at you as an example to emulate.
It was always a pleasure work with Phil at the gate, telling jokes, smiling and laughing and in training as well. So sorry for your loss. Prayers for healing God bless.

Phil will be missed. I worked a lot of shifts with him. We were FTOs together and I will always remember him in his leather motorcycle jacket. I am in shocked he has stopped at Fiddlers Green were all cavalry troopers go to rest.

So sorry to hear of Phil’s passing. He was a great man that I worked many years. Prayers to the family to help deal with this loss. RIP Phil
