Ralph C. Buracker

Ralph C. Buracker Jr., 77, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia with Sammy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Martin Ed Alger Cemetery in Page County, Virginia.

Mr. Buracker was born December 5, 1939 in Luray, Virginia to the late Ralph Cleveland Buracker, Sr. and Gladys Marie Price Buracker. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Buracker.

He served in the US Army for the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Following his enlistment he joined the Front Royal Police Department where he served as a Sergeant and was past president of the Front Royal Fraternal Order of Police. He retired from UPS as a tractor trailer driver.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shelby J. Buracker; two daughters, Shelby Theresa Henry (Robert) and Kimberly R. Lauffer (Scott) both of Front Royal; brother, Ronald B. Buracker (Penny) of Luray; three sisters, Nancy C. Bailey (Calvin), Brenda Weakley and Karen F. Cubbage (Andy) all of Stanley, Virginia; granddaughter, Erin A. Williams (Chris Ramey) of Front Royal; grandson, Gregory P. Thompson (Laura) of Front Royal; step grandson, Kyle Lauffer of Front Royal and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who love him.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the Arthritis Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice.
