Rena B. Ebert

Rena B. Ebert, 75, most recently a resident of Snug Harbor, formerly of Front Royal, Virginia, died at Carolina Health Care in Morehead City, North Carolina on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with Rev. Randy DeSantis officiating. Burial will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery.

Rena was born on November 13, 1943 in Washington, DC to the late Dorothy and Vincent Shirley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Ebert Jr.

For over 40 years she served others in her nursing career, most of those years at Bethesda Naval Hospital in the DC area.

Survivors include two sons, Frank E. Ebert III and Joseph Andrew Ebert (Jill); three sisters and their families, Naomi Herring, Donna Dennis and Lana Hathaway (Don) and three grandchildren, Spencer, Cambree and Holden Ebert.

Rena will be sorely missed. Her love for the Lord, her massive collection of poems, scripture, ect. which she loved to share with others will be remembered by an untold number of recipients. Others always came first in her work, mind and heart.

    She was a wonderful lady that love God and her family. She never had a harsh word for anyone. I glad gave me the oppountity to know her and I know we will meet again in Heaven. Praying for her family.

    my best friend growing up, I can’t imagine a world without her in it. She was a wonderful, funny, caring person. Rest in peace my friend.

    I knew her going up. She was a special lady. Her sisters were all so close. Rena, Rest In Peace, you are an angel now.
