Rev. Raymond Tracy Loughry, Sr.

The Rev. Raymond Tracy Loughry, Sr., 80, of Front Royal, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by Cecil Jones. Interment will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens in Waterlick.

Rev. Loughry was born February 2, 1935, in Gormania, WV, son of the late Hugh and Myrtle Brown Loughry.

He was a foreman for Davey Tree Company in Luray and pastor of Gid Brown Hollow Pentecostal Church in Rappahannock County.

Rev. Loughry is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary Knight Loughry; his children Danny Loughry and wife Dianne of Chester Gap, Charles A. “Chuckie” Loughry and wife Angie of Woodstock, and Janice R. “Becky” Loughry and fiancée Tom of Middletown; a daughter-in-law Wanda Loughry of Front Royal; brothers and sisters Ruby, Doris, Dessie, Lillian, Donald, Frederick, Everett, Myrtle, and Richard; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rev. Loughry was predeceased by a daughter Katherine Loughry and a son Raymond T. “Junebug” Loughry, Jr.; and twelve brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bosworth, Steven Bosworth, Chuckie Loughry, Danny Loughry, Everett “Butch” Loughry, and Richard “Rich” Loughry.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
