Robert “Bobby” Edward Frye, 69, of Castleton, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia with Pastor Roy Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Hill Cemetery.

Bobby was born on March 2, 1948 in Flint Hill, Virginia to the late James Nervy Frye and Rixey Riley Walters Frye. He was a lifetime resident of Rappahannock County. He retired from H.N. Funkhouser, was a Vietnam Army veteran and a member of VFW Post #1860.

Survivors include his wife, Teri Lynn Frye of Castleton; brother, James Eugene Frye of Gloucester, Massachusetts; two sisters, Lucy Rutherford and Emma Clifton both of Front Royal and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Sarah Foster, Ethel Frye and Ella Eubanks and a brother, Howard Walters.

Pallbearers will be Casey J. Stewart, Mark Steele, Donald Steele, Jamie Clifton, Kevin Welsh, Richard Cooper and Roger Foster.

Honorary pallbearers will be C.D. Strother, the staff from H.N. Funkhouser and the nationwide members of the Verterans of Foreign Wars.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Front Royal VFW Post 1860 in Bobby’s honor.
