Robert Henry Lillard, Jr., 77, of Front Royal, VA, died on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center in Winchester.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Flint Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Lillard was born February 19, 1937 in Flint Hill, VA, son of the late Robert H. Lillard, Sr. and Julia Katherine Pullen Lillard. He retired as a master carpenter from UBC Local 2033.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years Doris Jean Lillard; two daughters Donna Lillard Cameron and husband Rodney and Lisa Lillard Starnes and husband Brian all of Front Royal; two brothers Leroy Lillard of South Carolina and William “Buddy” Lillard of Front Royal; five grandchildren Jennifer Cameron, Michael Cameron, Sara Jones, Maggie Starnes, and J.B. Starnes; and three great-grandchildren Andrew Jones, Riley Heflin, and Kaylee Heflin.

Pallbearers will be Brain Starnes, Michael Cameron, Rodney Cameron, J.B. Starnes, Ricky Lillard, Stevie Lillard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Jones and Cory Putman.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
