Robert L. Baker, 89, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Lynn Care Center.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 11 AM at Panorama Memorial Gardens in Waterlick, Virginia with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Mr. Baker was born on September 2, 1934 in Sperryville, Virginia to the late Ira and Irene Atkins Baker.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Baker.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and a transport driver at the end of World War II.  Following his Army service he became a steel worker.

Survivors include his four sons, Kenneth Baker (Brenda) of Front Royal, Bobby Baker of Front Royal, Lennis Baker of Strasburg, Virginia and Ronald Baker (Joyce) of Strasburg; daughter, Bobiline Clark (Ervin) of North Carolina; step son, Raymond Atkins; brother, Charles Baker; three sisters, Mildred, Shirley and Ruth; 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
