Robert Lee “Bobby” Butler, 61, of Woodstock and formerly of Front Royal, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017, in the Winchester Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11 at 3:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Sammy Campbell.

Bobby was born on January 21, 1956, in Front Royal, son of the late James E. Butler, Sr. and Cora Leigh Beatty Butler. He owned and operated his own building contracting business for many years. He was a member of the Front Royal Moose Lodge # 829, the Front Royal Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Giles B. Cook Post 53 of the American Legion.

Surviving are five daughters Tori Butler, Caitlin Butler, Amber McCauley, Morgan Butler, and Chelsey Butler all of Front Royal; one son Brian McCauley of Front Royal; one brother James E. “Boy” Butler, Jr. of Lovettsville; one sister Carolyn Bolton of Front Royal; four grandsons; and his companion Elise Conforte of Woodstock.

Bobby was preceded in death by a daughter Jenna Butler and two sisters Brenda Butler and Judy Brookman.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 11 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
