Robert Lee “Bobby” Lucas, Jr., 68, of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at his home.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Maddox Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Sammy Campbell officiating. Inurnment will be private.
Bobby was born October 7, 1953 in Front Royal, Virginia, son of the late Robert Lee Lucas, Sr. and Ruth Ann Smedley Lucas. He retired after many dedicated years as a tractor and trailer driver.
Surviving are his devoted wife, of 44 years, Becky Lucas; one son, Jeremiah Allen Lucas of Strasburg; two brothers, William Edward Lucas and life partner Deanna Roberts of New Market, Maryland and Jeffrey Jay Lucas and wife Michele of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; and one grandson, Dagan A. Lucas-Riffey of Woodstock.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Kevin Lynn Lucas; and one sister Kimberly Kay Lucas.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 16 from 1-2 p.m. t the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

We are thinking of Becky and Jeremiah tonight. Bobby brought such humor and down to earth logic to the family. He was beloved by all of us. His journey in life was difficult in the later years. But he was a fighter to the end. Sending much love to Becky and Jeremiah. And remembering all the good times.
