Sandra Jo Alger, 85, of Falls Church, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Manassas Health and Rehab in Manassas, Virginia.

Services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Alger was born September 16, 1941 in Roanoke, Virginia, daughter of the late William Claybourne and Lenna Almira Hess Furrow.

She retired after many dedicated years from Giant Food Inc.

Surviving are two daughters, Lucinda “Cindy” Reinholtz of Manassas and Rebecca “Becky” Forbes and husband Lynn Forbes of Winchester; three sisters, Jean Brown of Martinsburg, West Virginia, and Karen French and Linda Quick, both of Harrisonburg; five grandchildren, Alisha Akers, Tiffany Kreyer, Natalie Lee, Samuel Reinholtz and David Reinholtz; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll D. Alger; and a brother, Jack Randolph Furrow.
