Sharon “Diane” Manuel Palmer

Sharon “Diane” Manuel Palmer, 61, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 5, 2021 at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Chaplain Roger Vorous officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery at White Post.

Diane was born October 24, 1959 in Arlington, Virginia, daughter of the late Wilson and Dorothy Manuel. She worked for Heritage Hall in Front Royal for many years.

Surviving are her children, Christopher Manuel (Wendy) of Linden, Melissa “Missy” Smedley (John) of Front Royal, Stacy Damron (Jeffrey) of Grottoes, Tracy Showers (Troy Layman) of Front Royal, and Matthew “Toe” Showers of Front Royal; brothers, Charles Shaffer (Quin) of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Michael Manuel (Pat) of Front Royal, and Wilson “Jesse” Manuel of Stephens City; sisters, Dorothy “Peanut” Lewis of Linden and Barbara Sirna (Mickey) of Front Royal; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving companion, Anthony “Tony” Litten.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald “Tuck” Manuel.

Pallbearers will be Charles Shaffer, Michael Manuel, Paul Shaffer, John Smedley Jr., Jeffrey Damron, and Troy Layman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Louderback, Jaron Moore, Travis Manuel, and Wesley Smedley.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Prayers for the family she sure does have two wonderful twins Stacy and Tracy. And some great grandchildren. I grew up around Morgan and Tracy. And go to school with Bree now. She sure will be missed
